It Is Nearly Time…

There’s something special arriving in Hornsea this spring—and it’s set to bring a splash of colour, creativity, and community spirit to our seaside town.

The Starfish Galaxy Trail Lands This May

From Saturday 2 May 2026, the much-anticipated Starfish Galaxy Sculpture Trail begins its journey, with the first six stunning starfish sculptures going on display across Hornsea. Each piece has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate imagination, local talent, and the unique charm of our coastal community.

Whether you’re a resident or visiting for the day, the trail offers a fresh and engaging way to explore the town—perfect for families, art lovers, and curious minds of all ages.

Follow the Trail

To help you discover each sculpture, printed trail maps will be available to pick up from two convenient locations:

  • Hornsea Museum (Tourism Information)

  • Number Nine The Marketplace

Take a leisurely stroll, track down all six starfish, and enjoy seeing Hornsea through a creative new lens.

Get Creative – Design Your Own Starfish

The fun doesn’t stop at finding the sculptures. You can also take part in the trail by designing your very own starfish!

Pick up a competition postcard alongside your map, let your imagination run wild, and submit your design to be entered into a monthly prize draw. It’s a wonderful way for children and adults alike to get involved and feel part of the project.

📸 Don’t forget to snap a photo with your favourite starfish and tag @starfish.galaxy to share your journey and be part of the trail online.

A Celebration of Community

The Starfish Galaxy Trail is more than just an art installation — it’s a celebration of what makes Hornsea special. Brought to life through community support, creativity, and collaboration, this is just the beginning, with more sculptures planned in future phases.

So mark your calendar, pick up your map, and set off on a trail that promises discovery, inspiration, and a little seaside magic.

The starfish are waiting… will you find them all?
